Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Nursing Assistant I for a part-time day shift (6am–7pm) in the Surgical Access area. You will support physicians and nurses by helping with daily patient activities, meals, hygiene, and transport, while maintaining a safe, compassionate environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, alertness, and a positive attitude, with preferred CNA experience and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• BLS certification.
• CNA strongly preferred.
• Prior medical-surgical/long term care experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities.
• Serves and collects food trays and provides between-meal nourishment.
• Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
• Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
• Measures and records patients' vital signs such as temperature or pulse and provides basic treatment.
• Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families.
• Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
