Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant I for the Day shift (6am–7pm) to support physicians and nurses in delivering high-quality patient care at our Surgical Access Center in Morristown, NJ.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and preferably CNA experience in medical-surgical or long-term care settings. This role emphasizes teamwork, patient comfort, and safety in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• BLS certification
• CNA strongly preferred
• Prior medical-surgical/long term care experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing personnel in direct patient care and daily activities.
• Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
• Measures and records patients' vital signs such as temperature or pulse and provides basic treatment.
• Performs continuous rounds and check-ins to meet patient and family needs.
• Changes bed linens, serves meals, transports tasks and prepares treatment trays.
