Job summary

Minneapolis College seeks a full-time Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide Instructor for a 2-year fixed-term appointment in the School of Nursing, Health Sciences and Wellness. The NAHA Department collaborates to prepare students for entry-level careers in long-term care and home health settings, including registry examinations.

The instructor will teach NAHA courses, develop materials, assess student performance, and manage instructional labs in compliance with state requirements.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or diploma required.
• RN license current and in state of Minnesota.
• Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified direct patient care experience, including long-term care.
• Experience with clinical education or teaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach lecture and lab components of NAHA courses to a diverse student population.
• Create/edit instructional materials aligned with Minnesota Department of Health curriculum requirements.
• Assess student performance on skills competencies, written exams, and clinical practice.
• Organize and maintain instructional lab equipment and supplies in compliance with program and safety standards.
• Utilize campus technology to maintain professional skills and connect with faculty, staff, and students.
• Ensure student compliance with clinical site requirements, including health documentation and background clearances.
