Geisinger in Scranton, PA is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support patient care on an evening/overnight unit. You will provide direct patient care within the nursing assistant scope, assist with daily living activities, document observations, and help with admissions, transfers, and tests as needed.

Qualifications

• Must meet orientation and long-term scheduling requirements.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to work in a clinical environment with patients across age ranges.
• Provide direct patient care and clerical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as directed within nursing assistant scope.
• Observe, document patient needs and report changes promptly.
• Obtain and maintain specimens per policy and physician order.
• Assist with activities of daily living and care continuity.
• Provide 1:1 patient safety watch as assigned.
• Process specimens and transport to the laboratory.
• Assist with clerical duties for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Coordinate transportation of patients for tests and appointments.
