Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a Nurse Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Focus areas include personal hygiene, nutrition and activities of daily living.

Position is Full Time Nights (1900-0730) with every 3rd weekend/holiday. Requires geriatric aid certification or active Iowa Nurse Aide registry, or enrollment in nursing program; prior CNA experience preferred.

Qualifications

Hours

Full Time - Nights. 1900-0730…every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday.

Position Qualifications

Education:

Completion of geriatric aid certification and State of Iowa Nurse Aide registry listing as “Active” or eligible.

OR

Currently enrolled in an A.D.N., B.S.N. program with successful completion of first semester of A.D.N. program, OR first year completion of nursing courses in BSN OR graduate of an A.D.N., Diploma, BSN or LPN program.

Experience:

Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

Special Skills and Competencies: Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs. Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual.
