Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Basic medical terminology understood.
• Basic computer skills and accurate documentation.
• ACLS certification preferred per policy.

Responsibilities

• Observe, obtain and report patient data/status to RN.
• Respond to acuity and emergent situations as directed.
• Maintain current knowledge/certification.
• Precept new employees and support team
• Promote a culture of safety and proper body mechanics.
• Utilize department software and operate during downtime.
• Comply with hospital policies and privacy/security programs.
• Support patient and family-centered care.
