Job summary

Essentia Health St. Marys- Detroit Lakes in Minnesota is seeking a Nurse Aide to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, nutrition, comfort, safe transfers, and maintaining a safe environment for patient healing.

You must complete a recognized nurse aide training program or be registered on the state registry; BLS within 3 months of hire. The role supports efficient unit function and exceptional patient service.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized nurse aide training program or current registration on the state registry.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to provide direct patient care and maintain safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and comfort to patients under RN supervision.
• Assist with personal hygiene and nutritional needs of patients.
• Take vital signs and document accurately; report changes to the RN.
• Transfer patients safely and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Support unit workflow and scheduling as needed.
