Job summary

Essentia Health’s St. Mary’s in Superior, Wisconsin, is seeking a dedicated nurse aide to provide direct patient care under supervision. You will help with hygiene, nutrition, comfort, transfers, and ensure a safe, clean environment to promote healing.

This role requires BLS certification within 3 months of hire or current nurse aide registry; you will work 48 hours every two weeks with alternating weekends and rotating 8-hour shifts (7:00AM-3:30PM, 3:00PM-11:30PM, 11:00PM-7:30AM).

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 3 months of hire
• Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program OR current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene care and assist with nutritional needs
• Provide comfort care and other assistance
• Safely transfer patients and take vital signs
• Complete recordkeeping and report changes in patient condition to the RN
• Maintain a safe, clean environment to promote healing
