Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha seeks a Clinic Nursing Assistant to support providers at the Diabetes and Endocrine clinic. You will assist with examinations, obtain vital signs, draw blood, and help coordinate tests and patient instructions.

This full-time 32-hour/week position requires training in phlebotomy, data entry into the medical record, and compassionate, patient-centered care. Work schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:30am to 4pm.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Medication Aid Registry and injection training required.
• Nurse Aide Registry at time of hire or CNA experience.
• BLS required within 3 months of hire; NAR preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Strong time management and typing skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with daily activities: preparing patients for exams, obtaining vital signs, phlebotomy as trained.
• Enter and transcribe patient information into the electronic medical record.
• Schedule tests and coordinate appointment reminders; relay test results per protocol.
