Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Clinic Nursing Assistant at Methodist Physicians Clinic - Fremont Family Internal Medicine, Fremont, NE. Work Monday through Friday, 7:45am–5pm, assisting providers and managing patient flow in a busy clinic.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting with orders and tests, phlebotomy, and basic data entry. Requires high school diploma or GED and completion of phlebotomy training; BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and standard healthcare procedures.
• Strong verbal communication with patients and staff.
• Ability to enter data accurately into the electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and exam rooms for visits.
• Take vital signs and document patient information.
• Assist providers with examinations, orders, and tests.
• Provide phlebotomy training readiness and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Perform EKGs and assist with medication refills per protocol.
• Schedule tests and manage follow-up appointments.
• Transcribe provider instructions into the patient record.
