Job summary

Walker Methodist Westwood Ridge is looking for Nursing Assistants to provide essential personal care to residents. Walker Methodist Westwood Ridge in West St. Paul offers senior living with services to 127 customers and a 37-bed transitional care and rehabilitation center, 24 memory care apartments and 10 care suites.

Job Description

Walker Methodist Westwood Ridgeseeks Nursing Assistants to work on their Transitional Care Unit and deliver hands-on personal care to meet each resident’s physical health and hygiene needs according to their individual care plan and under the direction of a nurse.

• Full-time: evening
• Part-time: evenings and nights

All schedules include working every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent
• Certified as a Nursing Assistant in Minnesota REQUIRED
• Available to work every other weekend and alternating holidays
• Previous experience in acute care or long-term care preferred
• Basic computer skills with experience or ability to learn electronic health record systems
• Sensitivity to resident needs and the ability to build positive relationships
