Qualifications

• Ability to provide a range of patient/resident care and contribute to the nurse care plan.
• Ability to observe patients/residents' status and refer deviations to supervisor promptly.
• Ability to use equipment and supplies in basic diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other health professionals.
• Education: One year above high school with NA-related courses.
• Completion of an intensive occupation-related course of study as nursing assistant.

Responsabilités

• Functions or scope of assigned duties under close supervision in various care settings.
• All duties performed with training and competencies for assigned task.
• Use glucose monitoring and document readings for Veterans.
• Maintain a positive therapeutic relationship with patients and families.
• Assist with orienting patient/family to unit routines and policies.
• Work as part of the interdisciplinary team to ensure care continuity.
