Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as a caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, recording vital signs, psychosocial support, transfers, range of motion exercises, and assisting with meals. Supports procedures, documents care, communicates changes, and assists with housekeeping, laundry, wellness, and recreational activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining it within four months.
• Completion of yearly competency testing and ongoing education credits.
• State-specific certifications and driving requirements if applicable.
