Responsibilities

• Attend trainings and professional development when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent.CNA preferred.
• Must be able to complete DPH training for screenings
• Certification inBLS (Healthcare Provider) CPR by Red Cross or American Heart Association required.

JOB GOALS: Assist nurses with various tasks including screenings, student care, visits, data entry/documentation, clerical duties, outreach, office maintenance and organization.

SKILLS ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist school nurses as needed, respecting and protecting student/staff confidentiality and following all protocols.
• Perform or assist with health screenings and documentation.
• Assist with data entry, notices, reports, health records, and office organization.
• Monitor students awaiting dismissal, on bus, at school sponsored activities and/or accompany to the hospital if needed.
• Assist with outreach to families.
• Inventory, order and fill health supply requisitions.
• Attend trainings/professional development when necessary.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by supervisors.

REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

DAYS: 10-month position

HOURS: Arrive 15 minutes before students and leave 15 minutes after student dismissal.

SALARY: Per union contract
