Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY seeks a Part-Time Nursing Assistant for the Day shift on 2A ICU. Under RN supervision you will provide direct patient care, assist with hygiene, mobility and feeding, and help with documentation and routine tasks in a high-acuity unit.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs, assisting with admissions and transfers, maintaining supplies, and responding to patient needs with compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current KY Nurse Aide Certification, or completion of first year of Nursing program with clinical rotation validation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already current.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including hygiene, mobility, toileting, feeding and positioning.
• Obtain and document vital signs and other patient data.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and procedures.
• Perform clerical/unit coordination duties and maintain supplies.

The unit population is cardiac interventions, SARS, Cardiogenic shock, Rotoprone, Post-partum critical care patients and complex care ICU patients, most of which have a medical or cardiac diagnosis.
