Job summary

Crouse Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant for 4 North Irving - Med/Surg Telemetry in Syracuse, NY. This full-time role (36 hrs/wk) involves (3) 12-hour shifts, 7:00pm-7:30am, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Pay ranges from $20.15 to $26.92 per hour, based on experience, with shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. The Nursing Assistant provides daily patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, helping meet the patient care plan goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two weeks after hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assists the patient with daily care activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulating, personal hygiene and taking vital signs.
• Supports and actively contributes to the patient’s goals in the plan of care.
• Individualizes communication based on the needs of the patients and families.

Nursing Assistant Position Responsibilities

• Assists the patient with daily care activities including but not limited to bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulating, personal hygiene and taking of vital signs.
• Supports and actively contributes to the achievement of the patient's goals associated with the plan of care.
• Individualizes communication based on the needs of the patients and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of patient care experience, an equivalent combination of patient care experience with a healthcare training/skills class, or is currently attending an accredited Registered Nursing program and has successfully completed the fundamentals of nursing coursework.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire date.
