Job summary

Central Oregon Community College is seeking a Nursing Tutor to support nursing and anatomy coursework and help students achieve academic success within the College district. The tutor provides personalized attention, adapts pacing, and works during scheduled hours in the Tutoring Center.

Responsibilities include following COCC Tutoring and Testing policies, adhering to the CRLA Tutor Code of Ethics, training 10 hours in the first year, familiarizing with Nursing faculty assignments, and

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; completed tutoring-related coursework with B+ or better.
  • Grade B+ or better in the courses you tutor.
  • Accurate arithmetic, grammar, spelling, editing and proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

  • Be in the Tutoring Center ready to tutor during scheduled hours each week.
  • Follow the policies of the COCC Tutoring and Testing department.
  • Follow the CRLA Tutor Code of Ethics.
  • Tutor COCC students in Nursing and Anatomy and Physiology to support instruction.
  • Complete 10 hours of COCC Tutoring training in the first year (paid time).
  • Become familiar with Nursing faculty assignments for specific courses.
  • Other duties as required.
