Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, NY is seeking a Nursing Department Data Analyst onsite. The role gathers and analyzes clinical, operational, staffing and patient-flow data to support nursing leadership in decisions that improve care quality.

The analyst develops dashboards, generates recurring reports, and ensures data governance while collaborating with the CNO and department leaders to deliver accurate, timely insights.

Qualifications

BS degree in data analytics, healthcare admin, health informatics or related field.
Experience with clinical, nursing, staffing, patient flow data preferred.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Experience developing reports or dashboards for leadership and operations.
SQL or comparable data-query experience.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Create clear visualizations and concise interpretations of analytical data for Nursing leadership.
Develop dashboards and reports reflecting Nursing indicators and projects.
Present data findings to clinical, operational, technical, and executive stakeholders.
Collaborate daily with Nursing leadership to identify operational needs.
Extract and collate data from EPIC (EHR).
