Job summary

Sonida Senior Living's Waterford at Baytown in Baytown, TX is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate resident care. You will assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, and transfers, always creating a safe and welcoming home for residents and families.

You will work with a team to support daily living, meals, medication reminders, and timely reporting of changes in residents' condition. Texas CNA licensure is required and maintained.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the state as a Certified Nursing Assistant and maintain current licensure.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, escorts and transfers.
• Assists residents with dining, including setting tables, serving meals, ensuring fluids are taken, and offering substitutions as needed.
• Reminds residents to take medications and opens containers and packages for residents.
• Reports changes in residents' behavior or conditions to the Assisted Living Director.

THE JOB: As a Certified Nursing aide, you'll help create a welcoming, safe, and caring home for our residents. THE SHIFTS:

• Evenings: [2:00p - 10:30p],
• [Full-time, part-time, and PRN options available]

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Performs duties in accordance with accepted standards of resident care. Duties include assisting with dressing, grooming, bathing, and escorts and transfers
• Assists residents with nutritional needs, including setting dining tables, serving meals, providing proper fluid requirements, and offering substitutions when appropriate
• Reminding residents to take medication and opening containers and packages for residents
• Recognizes changes in the residents' behavior and conditions and reports those changes to the Assisted Living Director

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service is preferred, but not required
• Required license/certification, if applicable
• A caring attitude and reliable attendance
• High school graduate or GED preferred
• Must be licensed in the state as a Certified Nursing Assistant and maintain current, active, and unencumbered licensure.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
