Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking an Administrative Nursing Supervisor to provide administrative and clinical leadership across nursing units in a day shift. You will coordinate staffing, patient flow, and resources to ensure safe, high-quality care and will serve as a resource for staff in clinical and operational matters.

The role requires a BSN, NY RN license, and at least five years of Home Care nursing with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Current NY RN license is required.
• Minimum five years of recent Home Care nursing with supervisory experience.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage staffing, patient flow and priorities.
• Proficient with electronic health records and basic computer apps.
• Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical leadership across assigned nursing units.
• Coordinate staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation for safe care.
• Serve as leadership resource for nursing staff on clinical and operational matters.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards including Joint Commission and CMS.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Facilitate communication among nursing leadership, physicians and teams.
• Respond to urgent issues and participate in audits and regulatory readiness.
