Job summary

This role serves as the on‑site hospital administrator after hours, activates the disaster plan when needed, and rounds to maintain staff communication and patient safety. Strong nursing practice knowledge and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• RN Georgia licensure required
• Basic Life Support required
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain quality patient care on assigned shift.
• Coordinate Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate patient flow.
• Monitor bed availability and implement surge capacity measures.
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate shift staffing.
• Serve as on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours.
• Assess administrator-on-call requests during shift; act in absence of administration.

Plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow, providing optimum service to all Piedmont customers. Monitoring bed availability and implementing surge capacity measures as needed. Supervision of the nursing staff and coordination of staffing on a shift-to-shift basis. Is the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours. Responsible for the assessment of all requests for administrator-on-call contact during his/her shift. Responsible for all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors. Works under the direction of the Administrator on-call to determine the activation of the disaster plan and coordinates related activities. Rounds and maintains open communication with all staff. This position requires a sound knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• Bachelor's Degree /Master's degree in Nursing Preferred

Work Experience

• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required
• Demonstrated clinical competency Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Preferred
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Preferred
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Preferred
