Piedmont Macon Medical is seeking an experienced nurse administrator to oversee hospital operations on the Macon campus. The role emphasizes leadership, patient safety, and staffing coordination across shifts.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, ensuring quality care, and coordinating with Admissions and Bed Control to manage bed capacity. The administrator-on-call after hours will guide disaster response when needed.

Competenze

• Graduation from a nursing program required.
• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• RN Georgia licensure and/or multi-state licensure required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS, PALS and NRP are preferred.

Responsibilities

Promoting and maintaining quality patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization on assigned shift. Plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow, providing optimum service to all Piedmont customers. Monitoring bed availability and implementing surge capacity measures as needed. Supervision of the nursing staff and coordination of staffing on a shift-to-shift basis. Is the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours. Responsible for the assessment of all requests for administrator-on-call contact during his/her shift. Responsible for all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors. Works under the direction of the Administrator on-call to determine the activation of the disaster plan and coordinates related activities. Rounds and maintains open communication with all staff. This position requires a sound knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• Bachelor’s Degree /Master’s degree in Nursing Preferred

Work Experience

• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required
• Demonstrated clinical competency Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Preferred
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Preferred
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Preferred
