Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana is seeking adjunct faculty to teach in the ASN and PN programs on a part-time or full-time basis as needed each semester. Faculty are responsible for delivering classes, using technology to enhance instruction, maintaining records, and ensuring an inclusive, safe learning environment.

Candidates must have RN licensure in Indiana, a nursing degree (masters preferred), and meet academic plan requirements toward a Master's in nursing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Current, unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse license
• The majority of faculty shall hold master's degrees in nursing

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned nursing classes in accordance with college policy and course objectives
• Utilize technology to enhance instructional methods
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements
• Engage with students proactively to create a positive learning experience
• Develop and implement teaching strategies focused on engaging students with learning goals
• Interact professionally with students and coworkers in line with college policies
• Maintain a safe and quality educational environment
• Promote an environment reflecting diverse backgrounds
• Submit official transcripts and undergo background check prior to employment
