Austin Community College District seeks an Adjunct Faculty member for the Professional Nursing ADN Program to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to student success and culturally responsive teaching.

The role requires teaching to a multicultural student population, evaluating progress, and mentoring students with a focus on inclusivity. Expect evening/night shifts and possible multiple campus locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing required.
• 3 years of bedside nursing experience.
• SACSCOC requirements may differ depending on the courses taught within each discipline.
• Current unencumbered RN license in the State of Texas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach Professional Nursing ADN Program coursework to a multicultural student population based on approved learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback.
• Provide teaching and mentoring that is inclusive and non-discriminatory.
• Remain current in the field through professional development activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department chair, dean, or executive leadership.
• Participate in simulations, Mastery Check offs, and labs; may require evening/night shifts and Saturdays.
• Utilize technology in the classroom and develop course content in Blackboard.
