Qualifications

• Must have 3 years of Mental Health nursing experience at the bedside.
• Current unencumbered RN license in the State of Texas.
• Master's of Science in Nursing; SACSCOC requirements may differ depending on courses taught within each discipline.
• Experience in teaching or mentoring students with culturally responsive teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach courses in Professional Nursing ADN Program to a multicultural student population based on department learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback reflecting program learning outcomes and departmental expectations.
• Maintain regular office hours to assist students and improve retention and success.
• Attend college activities and meetings; participate in graduation and other official functions.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by department chair or dean; may include evenings and Saturdays as needed.
