Job summary

Smith Chason College is seeking an ADN Adjunct Faculty member to provide high-quality nursing instruction on campus. The role supports the Director of Nursing and helps students develop practical and theoretical skills aligned with program standards.

The ideal candidate will have RN licensure, 4+ years of nursing experience, and familiarity with Canvas LMS. Teaching online or hybrid experience is highly desirable, and the position requires adherence to campus policies and confidentiality.

Qualifications

Must meet the minimum qualifications set by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
Maintain current certification(s) and/or license(s) with regulatory agencies and continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain up-to-date syllabi for didactic and practical courses, aligning with program objectives and industry standards.
Deliver high-quality lectures, optimize instructional resources, and set clear expectations for students.
Provide instructions and demonstrations on nursing practices and patient care using current references and handbooks.
Assist students with questions about protocols, procedures and policies, and provide constructive feedback.
Hold office hours to ensure availability of assistance with assignments and course progression.
