Job summary

South College is seeking a Nursing Academic Specialist to mentor and tutor BSN, ASN, and LPN students in didactic content. The role reports to the Nursing Academic Manager and partners with nursing faculty to improve student retention and success.

The specialist will develop concept-based workshops, host review sessions, and provide 1:1 support and NCLEX prep guidance, with on-site duties at the Orlando Campus and occasional after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• The Nursing Academic Specialist supports nursing students with didactic content mastery.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and an active RN license.
• Experience with ATI and NCLEX preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction, remediation, and evaluation in didactic concepts.
• Demonstrate accurate knowledge of NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN concepts.
• Develop and provide student workshops and study sessions.
• Provide 1:1 and group nursing concept coaching.
• Mentor students to enhance retention and success.
• Collaborate with nursing faculty and the Nursing Academic Manager.
