Immanuel Lutheran Church and School (ILCS) is seeking a Nursery Worker to provide childcare during worship services and events at 950 Hart Rd, Batavia, IL. This role emphasizes a caring, faith-centered approach and close cooperation with ILCS staff and volunteers.

The position is temporary and part-time, with safety of children and confidentiality of families prioritized. Lifting up to 30 lbs and background check completion are required.

Qualifications

• Be an active member of ILCS or willingness to become an active member.

• Be at least 15 years old (may require an employment certificate for under 16).
• Possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with adults and children.
• Able to lift 30 lbs and perform stooping/bending tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality of children, families, staff, and the program.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Salary Range: $14.33 - $15.91 Hourly

Employment Status: Temporary Part-Time, Non-exempt

Reports to: Nursery Coordinator; Director of Family Ministry

Primary Function: The Nursery Worker serves Immanuel Lutheran Church and School (ILCS) by providing childcare during worship services and other events.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Act as a Christian role model for all school and church workers, volunteers, students, and families, sharing the Gospel of Jesus as Savior and Friend


• Embrace, support and participate in the team ministry of ILCS


• Provide childcare


• Ensure safety of nursery equipment and spaces


• Other duties as requested

Travel: None.

Compensation and Benefits:

$14.33 per hour for minors; $15.91 per hour for adults; For general information about benefits provided for ILCS employees, please refer to the staff handbook.
