Job summary

Great Lakes Landscape Supply, Inc is seeking a dependable Nursery Plant Handler & Maintenance Worker in Cedar Springs, MI. This hands-on role supports nursery upkeep, loading and unloading shipments, watering, pruning, and maintaining greenhouses to ensure quality plant material.

No prior green industry experience is required; we provide training. The position is full-time, with pay based on experience, and includes health insurance, 401(k), PTO, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No previous landscaping experience required; training provided.
• Able to lift and move heavy materials and operate basic nursery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and prepare material for sale.
• Move items to correct locations in the nursery and provide water.
• Pot up new plants for sale.
• Water, prune and fertilize plants; pull weeds and maintain greenhouse upkeep.
• Move plant material in/out of polyhouses in spring and fall; trim and clean polyhouses.
• Support weekend crew with watering, potting, truck unloading, and plant maintenance as needed.

As a Nursery Plant Handler & Maintenance Worker, you'll be a critical member of our team that helps maintain the nursery, working as a team player to fill gaps as needed in order get the job done. Great Lakes Landscape Supply is a rapidly growing company based out of Cedar Springs Michigan. We specialize in wholesale sales to the landscape trade. We sell trees, shrubs, perennials, natural stone, concrete products, and more. We have 50+ acres of ready-to-sell plant material ranging from 3’ shrubs to 5” caliper trees. Essential Functions
