Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager for a full-time, permanent role in Colchester. You will oversee daily operations, lead a team of Early Years practitioners and ensure safeguarding and high-quality care in line with EYFS standards.

The ideal candidate brings leadership experience, strong EYFS knowledge and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of care and education while building effective relationships with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience as Nursery Manager or in a senior leadership role within an Early Years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience managing and developing a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and smooth running of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of Early Years practitioners.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintain high standards of childcare, learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements and relevant statutory regulations.
• Build positive relationships with parents, families and external professionals.
• Monitor children's development and ensure individual learning needs are supported.
• Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training and performance where required.
