Job summary

Remedy Education is looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming nursery in Colchester on a full-time, permanent basis. The role focuses on providing high-quality care, safeguarding and EYFS-aligned education, while leading a motivated team.

As Nursery Manager, you will drive day-to-day operations, manage staff rotas, recruitment and training, and ensure Ofsted requirements are met. A genuine passion for children’s learning and wellbeing is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or Senior Leadership role within an Early Years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• A genuine passion for children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• A proactive approach with the ability to maintain high standards of care and education.

The Role

As Nursery Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and safeguarding are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations and smooth running of the nursery.

Lead, motivate and support a team of Early Years practitioners.

Ensure the nursery provides a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.

Maintain high standards of childcare, learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.

Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Build positive relationships with parents, families and external professionals.

Monitor children's development and ensure individual learning needs are supported.

Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training and performance where required.

Ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements and relevant statutory regulations.

The Ideal Candidate
