Job summary

Remedy Education in Colchester is seeking a Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education and safeguarding.

You will oversee daily operations, manage a team of Early Years practitioners, build strong relationships with families and ensure Ofsted readiness.

The ideal candidate has EYFS knowledge, proven leadership skills, and a passion for children's learning and wellbeing, with a proactive approach to maintaining excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Nursery Manager or in a senior leadership role in an Early Years setting.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and support a team.
• Passion for children's learning, development and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and smooth running of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of Early Years practitioners.
• Ensure the nursery provides a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
• Maintain high standards of childcare, learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Build positive relationships with parents, families and external professionals.
• Monitor children's development and ensure individual learning needs are supported.
• Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training and performance where required.
• Ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements and relevant statutory regulations.
