Montgomery Parks is seeking a Nursery and Grounds Assistant to join our Pope Farm Nursery team in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The role supports general grounds maintenance, irrigation, and plant production tasks at our facility.

You will operate landscape equipment, assist with pruning and planting, help load/unload materials, and work outdoors in varying weather. We value reliability, good communication, and the ability to work independently or with staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience in grounds maintenance, landscape, nursery or related horticulture field.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• General facility grounds maintenance and mowing.
• Plant production tasks including pruning, shaping, irrigation monitoring, and loading/unloading trucks.
• Operate landscape equipment and assist with loading/unloading materials.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and follow safety protocols.
