Job summary

Montgomery Parks is seeking a Senior Parks/Facilities Maintenance Worker for the Wheaton area. The role involves hands-on upkeep of parks, trails, playgrounds, and park activity buildings, with duties ranging from grounds maintenance to equipment operation.

You will work under a Parks/Facilities Maintenance Leader in a stable, full-time position and support a reliable crew dedicated to safe, enjoyable community spaces.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in groundskeeping, building maintenance or park maintenance.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to operate park maintenance equipment and basic hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds, trail, and facility maintenance to keep parks safe and accessible.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair park grounds, buildings, and amenities.
• Support seasonal operations and special projects.
• Operate non-CDL Commission vehicles and maintenance equipment.
• Provide customer service and assist park programs and events.
