Job summary

Grand Lake Health/Premier Health South YMCA in Minster, OH is seeking a Nursery Attendant to provide a safe, engaging nursery experience while parents participate in YMCA activities. This hourly/non-exempt role pays $11.00-$13.20 per hour and offers opportunities to develop childcare skills in a supportive fitness environment.

The role requires following safety guidelines, supervising children, and communicating clearly with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months or more of related childcare experience preferred.

• Communicates effectively with members, parents, and staff.
• Displays enthusiasm with children.
• Monitors and maintains accurate records.

• Builds relationships with members.
• Provides excellent member service.
• Maintains facilities through proper use and cleaning procedures.
• Follows appropriate safety guidelines.
• Inspects all equipment used for safety hazards, damage or wear.
• Communicates to direct supervisor any concerns, needed repairs, or incidents that may need follow-up.
• Communicates any suggestions to improve the facility and equipment.
• Proactively solves problems.
