Job summary

Peninsula Behavioral Health, a division of Covenant Health, seeks a Supervisor, Nursing Unit, Unit D - Men's Thought, to assist the Nurse Manager in delivering high-quality nursing care and administrative oversight of the unit.

This full-time role on the day shift requires three years of clinical experience, TN RN licensure, and a commitment to evidence-based practice, safety, patient confidentiality, and collaborative leadership within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; required within 3 years in position or effective date of job description.
• Three years of recent clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Models Covenant Health standards and behaviors.
• Assists in selection, training, orienting, developing and evaluating the performance of the department staff.
• Supports established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement initiatives, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Maintains operational reports and records and collects statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes.
• Assists with coordination and reporting of nursing activities performed on behalf of the patient.
• Attends meetings and actively participates on nursing committees and interdisciplinary committees, as assigned by manager.
• Establishes and maintains communication between the nursing unit, medical staff and ancillary departments for problem solving and quality improvement.
