Job summary

Peninsula Behavioral Health, a division of Covenant Health, is seeking a Team Leader Psychiatric Technician for Unit E. This full‑time Day Shift position involves directing staff, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring high‑quality care within the Women's unit.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, Psychiatric Technician background, and TN driver’s license with CPR certification. Local travel and ongoing staff development are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Psychology, Social Science, Education, Sociology, Ethics, Health) or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a Psychiatric Technician, preferably SR level in a similar setting.
• Valid Tennessee driver’s license with appropriate endorsements and CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and consult with Nurse Manager on program and unit issues.
• Coordinate treatment activities with hospital departments and staff.
• Schedule unit staff and ensure adequate coverage.
• Maintain compliance with licensure and Joint Commission standards.
• Lead staff in therapeutic communication, milieu activities, and least restrictive interventions.
