Job summary

Engage Healthcare is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse Unit Manager to lead nursing operations in a skilled nursing facility in Silver Spring, MD. The RN Unit Manager supports the Director of Nursing, coordinates care plans, and ensures compliance with policies and regulations while supervising GNAs and LPNs.

This is primarily a Monday–Friday role with on-call rotation. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time applicants; COVID vaccination is required or an

Qualifications

• RN/LPN licensure current in the state.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Strong knowledge of nursing care methods and safety guidelines.
• Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
• Experience supervising GNAs and LPNs in a nursing home setting.

Responsibilities

• Observe residents' health and assess needs to ensure quality care.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and support care plans.
• Maintain comprehensive healthcare records and reports.
• Supervise GNAs and LPNs; participate in staff training.
• Administer medications and provide emergency care as needed.
• Ensure hygiene and cleanliness across the facility.
• Collaborate with DON to maintain staffing coverage.
• Monitor staffing to minimize overtime and agency use.
• Review admissions against nursing capabilities for readiness.
• Notify physicians and families of significant health changes.
• Investigate complaints and drive resolutions.
