Villa Healthcare is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager RN to oversee daily nursing operations at a Villa Center in Michigan. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of care plans, with opportunities to lead staff development and maintain standards.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, coordinating with administration and therapy, and ensuring compliance with Medicare/Medicaid documentation.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or diploma is required.
• Current license to practice in the state as an RN.
• CPR certification is required.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages nursing staff, schedules, performance reviews, and policy enforcement.
• Participates in planning with administration and other departments.
• Develops and maintains care standards and rounds to monitor resident conditions.
• Ensures nursing reports are completed at shift changes and areas are clean and ready for care.
• Provides direct nursing care as needed and documents actions for Medicare/Medicaid.
• Assists QA in corrective action plans and completes forms on admissions/transfers/discharges.
