Job summary

Villa At Great Lakes Crossing is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager RN to join their team. This role oversees day-to-day nursing activities and ensures the highest quality of care through assessment, plan-of-care implementation, and continual evaluation.

Responsibilities include staff management, collaboration with administrative and clinical teams, and maintaining care standards. You will conduct rounds and coordinate QA actions while providing direct patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-Term care and MDS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the nursing staff, scheduling breaks, reassigning employees, writing performance reviews, and enforcing policies.
• Meets with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy department and other related departments in planning care.
• Develops and maintains care standards.
• Makes frequent rounds to note resident conditions and ensure standards are met.
• Gives and receives the nursing report at shift changes.
• Ensures areas are clean and sanitary.
• Assists QA in developing plans of action to correct deficiencies.
• Performs administrative duties such as forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
• Interprets restorative care policies to personnel, residents, and families.
• Provides direct nursing care as necessary.
• Documents data as required by Medicare/Medicaid and company policies.
• Completes admission, transfer, discharge forms.
