Job summary

St. Charles Health System in Bend, Oregon seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee daily unit operations across 24/7 care areas.

You will manage staffing and scheduling, guide onboarding, and promote evidence-based practice to support safe, patient-centered care. This role partners with the Nurse Manager to monitor budgets, administer workforce development, and drive quality and safety initiatives while engaging caregivers and hospital leadership to uphold the system's mission and values.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required.
• Three years of clinical nursing experience.
• One year of leadership experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops staffing schedules and ensures adherence to staffing plans.
• Oversees unit assignments based on patient needs and resources.
• Participates in hiring, coaching and monitoring the performance of direct reports.
• Maintains knowledge of nursing principles and applies policy.
• Monitors budget and unit operations to meet goals.
• Promotes patient safety and quality initiatives and evidence-based care.
