Job summary

The Lodge at Rocky Mount in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Unit Manager to lead a dedicated team in providing compassionate care to residents and their families. This role focuses on coordinating resident care, supervising direct care staff, and ensuring high-quality documentation and communication with the Director of Nursing.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed RN or LPN with CPR, long-term care experience, and strong leadership, communication and service-oriented skills to uphold exceptional

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Must have and maintain current CPR certification.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent clinical, customer service, communication and leadership skills.
• Flexible, detail-oriented and able to make effective decisions as part of a service excellence team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage and evaluate resident care and unit operations on assigned unit.
• Supervise direct care staff and provide assistance as necessary.
• Observe and assess residents.
• Ensure documentation related to patients/residents is complete and inform relevant individuals.
• Inform Director of Nursing daily on status of patients/residents.
• Make rounds with physicians, review orders, lab reports and contact pharmacy as needed.
• Address patient/resident concerns.
• Investigate, report and follow through on any patient/resident-related situations.
• Review care plans and evaluate status at start/end of shifts.
• Promote a culture of Service Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIRMENTS

• Coordinate, manage and evaluate resident care and unit operations on assigned unit.

• Ensure all appropriate documentation is made related to patients/residents and appropriate individuals are informed.
• Inform Director of Nursing daily on status of patients/residents.

• Address patient/resident concerns.
• Investigate, report and follow through with any reported situation related to the patient/resident.
• Review patient/resident plans of care to ensure no alterations to plans need to be made and evaluate patient/resident status at beginning and end of each shift.
• Promote a culture of Service Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
