Join us today to become a part of our wonderful team and to help us continue to make a difference in our resident’s lives!Position: Nurse Unit ManagerHours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM & on-call rotation requirements.Job Requirements:

Licensure/Education: LPN or RN

  • Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in State of Michigan
  • BSN or associated Health Care degree preferred

Previous work experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility
  • 1+ year experience in supervisory role

Prior knowledge of:

  • Nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
  • Other: Basic computer knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Job Duties, but not limited to:

  • Oversight of and coordination of care for the facility’s long-term care resident population, including supervision of the nurses and CNAs who work on the long-term care units.
  • Participate in daily IDT meetings, resident care conferences, and other daily/weekly meetings as necessary.
  • Assist in the development of preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each client ensuring care plan development that is individualized for each client’s needs.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring staff skill and competency in meeting care needs.
  • Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing Services as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the clinical services team.
  • Determine the appropriate staffing levels for the census and acuity level provided.
  • Communication with residents and families to ensure high levels of satisfaction are maintained, as well as to receive and resolve grievances that occur.
