Corewell Health's Royal Oak Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (3CN/4CN/5CN). The unit, 3CN/4CN/5CN offer a dynamic patient care experience. 3CN is a ten-bed unit who specializes in general surgery, vascular, and thoracic patients. We are the only progressive care unit in the hospital that can monitor arterial lines. 5CN is a cardiovascular and thoracic surgery unit. We receive patients directly from the ICU and we can monitor patients who are on various anti-arrhythmic. 5CN is focused on discharge plan and readiness.

Under supervision of a Nurse and following hospital policies and procedures, performs various nursing care tasks and treatments on assigned patients. Performs routine bedside nursing activities including bathing and personal grooming of patients; ambulating, moving and turning patients; assisting patients with bedpans or urinary devices; making patient beds and caring for personal property. Assists in performing additional nursing procedures such as catheterizations, suctioning, irrigating colostomies, applying restraints, giving enemas, douches and sitz baths or peri care.
