Jackson Purchase Medical Center in western Kentucky is seeking a Nurse Technician (Nurse Tech) for the Emergency Department. This full-time mid-shift role includes a 3 x 12-hour schedule and under RN supervision you will provide essential patient care and support for our ED team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• SRNA or EMT preferred.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, perform basic patient care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility).
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team.
• Support nurses with basic patient care tasks and clinical procedures as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
• Provide compassionate patient interaction while addressing basic needs.

How you'll contribute

A Nurse Technician (Nurse Tech) who excels in this role:

• Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Support nurses with basic patient care tasks and clinical procedures as directed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment

Applicants should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent). Additional Certifications include:

• SRNA or EMT preferred.
