Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Kentucky is seeking a Nurse Technician for the Emergency Department to support a fast-paced ED team. You will work under an RN, assisting with basic patient care while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

The role emphasizes patient interaction, vital signs monitoring, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure timely, high-quality care for critically ill patients during mid-shift hours with a 3x12 schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• SRNA or EMT preferred.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care certification within 30 days of hire and annually.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an RN, perform basic patient care activities.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
• Support nurses with basic patient care tasks and clinical procedures as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
• Provide compassionate patient interaction while ensuring comfort and addressing basic needs.

Education
