Job summary

Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Technician to support our nursing team in a busy hospital setting. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and assist with daily activities to ensure comfort and safety for patients.

This full-time role offers a 3x12-hour shift pattern with rotating weekends/holidays and up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to provide compassionate and respectful patient care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Follow instructions and perform patient care duties under nursing supervision.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Assist with positioning, transferring, and transporting patients.
• Respond to call lights and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
• Observe patients and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist nursing staff with procedures and other care activities.
