Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Technician (NT) for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to support nurses and the interdisciplinary team in a high-acuity environment. The role offers 12-hour shifts, full-time status, and a structured weekend/holiday rotation to ensure continuous patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nurse Aide Program or related experience is provided/training offered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• One year of acute care experience preferred; certification may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the Patient Care Team's delivery of personalized, efficient care with respect for patients' spiritual and cultural differences.
• Considers safety, effectiveness, and cost in patient care delivery.
• Orients patients and families to the room and call bell.
• Obtains initial vital signs, height, and weight on admission.
• Records daily I/O, vital signs, and intake into the EMR.
• Transports patients safely and adheres to activity restrictions.
• Builds positive relationships with patients and families; communicates concerns to the care team.
