Job summary

Corewell Health’s Ludington Hospital is seeking a Nurse Tech for the Med Surg Care Unit. You will support patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider, including vital signs, basic wound care, and daily activities to ensure safe, high-quality care for medical-surgical patients.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS within 90 days, and preferably CNA certification. Training begins at Grand Rapids/Big Rapids facility, followed by on-site orientation at Ludington Hospital.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life support certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Active CNA Certification strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists in delivery of quality patient care under RN or Provider supervision.
• Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to health care team.
• Takes vitals and checks blood sugars, bathes patients, assists with ambulation and wound care.
• Performs catheterization and acts as safety attendant for patients.
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation of care and observations.
