Qualifikationen

• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Nursing student who has completed a basic clinical skills lab preferred.
• Must have at least 2 years hospital or long term care experience within related field.

Aufgaben

• Monitors, collects, and records information in the patient record; records vital signs and transports patients.
• Assists with ADLs, including personal hygiene, positioning, and ambulation.
• Rounds on patients and families and reports concerns to the responsible nurse.
• Inserts and removes gastric and urethral tubes; performs enemas and disimpactions as trained.
• Operates patient monitoring systems and performs bedside testing (e.g., Oximetry, ECG, urinalysis).
• Removes IV lines and supports phlebotomy on units after training; performs wound care and dressing changes.
• Assists with oxygen therapy delivery and proper storage; applies restraints under RN direction.
• Documents all care, assembles charts, posts results, and uses the documentation system.
• Delivers specimens to labs, transports X-rays, and maintains unit cleanliness and supplies.
